Hi, I’m Ruth Zekariase, the founder of Flourish Lab Tutoring. My journey as an educator began with a simple but powerful mission: to help every student get the individual support they need to succeed—not just in school, but in life.

Over the past four years, I’ve worked with 100+ students across a wide range of subjects, from AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Precalculus to SAT/ACT prep. Each student I’ve guided has taught me the importance of meeting learners where they are. My approach is rooted in creating personalized lesson plans and strategies that not only improve academic performance but also build confidence, resilience, and lifelong learning skills.

My teaching journey has taken me from being a college prep tutor with a top-tier luxury tutoring service, where I consistently helped students achieve top 10% standardized test scores, to serving as a teaching assistant at Seattle University, where I guided undergraduates through complex science topics and laboratory experiments. Across these experiences, I’ve developed a strong ability to explain challenging concepts clearly, foster curiosity, and adapt my methods to fit each student’s unique learning style.

At Flourish Lab Tutoring, I combine my academic background and my commitment to service and education to create an environment where students don’t just survive school—they flourish.
